New Rechargeable Batteries 1.2 Volts per Cell 4.8 per Stick - 3 Sticks 14.4 volts at 4 amp
NAGRA ATN-ATU charger and ATN power supply is needed with these rechargeable batteries. Or for best results us item ref: UN112
NAGRA model : IV.L, 4L , 4.2, E, D, IV.S / 4S, 4S IV-S T/C, use B+ 245MM battery
NAGRA model : III USE B, 236MM battery
Plug the ATN mains power supply into the ATN-ATU & plug this ATU-ATU into the NAGRA power socket
These batteries do not like to be charged unless they have had a good few days work. For best results, occasionally run them down to about 1.volt per cell on the battery volts range on the NAGRA meter, before charging again.
Charging the batteries overnight after a day's work will damage the batteries. You can run the batteries down to 1 volt per sell before charging.
NOTE: You can charge the batteries when you are using the recorder.
The ATN-ATU chargers were made for the old 2 amp batteries and charges at about 250mA so it will take much longer to charge these 4 amp batteries. For well run down batteries it would be about 15 hours
This is why I now do the MASCOT 400MA NiCd/NiMH BATTERY CHARGER for an overnight charge
