ABOVE LEFT To open the case, above the pilot in plug and handle fixing screw are the two large case opening screws, please note; only unscrew 3 or 4 turns do not take screws right out, as sometimes the circlips are missing that stops the nut falling off into the works. The 6-pin Tuchel/binder socket for external power and a 4 pin pilot socket. The 4 mm banana sockets are 4.4 volts output at 600 ohm, you also have the playback speaker,
ABOVE RIGHT, ( left to right ) the RX switch next to the number 3 XLR microphone inputs, is the switch that makes the Line Input a Microphone input, inputs 3 and 2 are Dynamic Ribbon or internally powered microphones, but input 1 is switchable and takes T and phantom microphones as well, you have a line input on the ACC socket using a 6 pin Tuchel/binder plug or in the 4 mm banana plugs. Or use the 7 pin MIXER socket that has a Playback output and Direct input, then you have VOL the speaker volume control, above that is the powered microphone switch
ABOVE Some signs of damage to the hinges and stand bars but there still in working order.
Good clean battery box and cover.
ABOVE : The heads are in good condition and no head loss adjustment was needed when lining up the playback or biasing, the tape bias and EQ is set for the new tape SM911 standard play tape, that is set for a flat response when the speed switch is set to STD and LPR35 is set to flat response when the speed switch is set to LN, if you are using SM911 and would like an 6 dB HF lift switch it to LP
I chose this tape as there the closes tape I could fond to the old AGFA 468 or 368, Zonal 468 / 368 and BASF & EMTEC 468
I have found that the SM911 standard play tape, can be setup for Speed & Equalization 1 and the SM468 and the LPR35 is the same bias and can be set to use on speed & equalization 11
ABOVE RIGHT:- the extra microphone amp is on top of the battery box and there is 50 or 60hz XTAL switch.
The recorder works from 12 x U2 batteries, NiCad batteries or external ATN, 2, 3, or N-SMPS2, N-SMPS3 mains supply (not supplied)
